The Regina Alternative Measures Program Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Regina Alternative Measures Program. The focus of the Program is on victims' healing and the rehabilitation of offenders using mediation, family group conferencing and healing circles that are culturally relevant to the First Nation and Métis populations of Regina. The Program also delivers community education and public awareness workshops, and works to develop appropriate processes and protocols for ongoing community involvement. As well, the Program conducts educational sessions in schools and also trains the Regina Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
