Purpose:

The Fort Good Hope Band has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to deliver a project titled, Fort Good Hope Needs Assessment and Community Justice Plan Project.
The Recipient will host and organize a conference whereby members of the community, leaders, agencies and professionals will be consulted to design a made-in K'asho Got'ine program model to advance the health of individuals within an alternative justice model tied specifically with alcohol related offences. A plan will be developed based on input received by the community with respects to the design, and examination of best practices. The following five areas will be examined by the group: preventative justice, victim services, current and alternative justice practices, and re-integration of offenders.
