Purpose:

The Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg Nation (KZA) has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the KZA Community-based Justice Program with the objective of developing alternatives to mainstream justice.
The justice committee and coordinator will provide sentencing, probation, parole, mediation, education, and crime prevention support services to the KZA membership with consideration for alternative measures affecting pre and post-charge diversions for youth and adults.
