Purpose:

The East Prairie Métis Settlement has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate a project entitled, "Joint Settlement Facilitation Training."
Through this project, the East Prairie Métis Settlement will host and organize a four-day training session for staff and supervisors working within eight Métis Settlements - Buffalo Lake, East Prairie, Elizabeth, Gift Lake, Kikino, Paddle Prairie, Peavine and Fishing Lake. The overall goal of the sessions will be to build internal capacity by way of delivering training on: preparing reports, development of new community-based programs, Family Group Conferencing Facilitation Training; and Gladue Report/Pre-Charge/Restorative Justice Training.
