Purpose:

The Cowessess First Nation has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Cowessess First Nation Community Justice Program. The objectives of the Program are to develop and deliver community-based justice programming for adults and youth that focuses on alternative measures, crime prevention and reintegration programming.
The Program works closely with justice and human services agencies including the RCMP, Corrections Services Canada, and Social Services to develop integrated community justice approaches that reflect the needs of the community.
