Purpose:

The intent of the Special Advocates Program -- Professional Development Component -- is to ensure that all Special Advocates are knowledgeable when dealing with these types of specialized cases. Under this component of the Special Advocates Program, professional development will be provided to ensure the ongoing development of knowledge of members of the special advocate's list through the attendance at SAP authorized sessions and receipt and review of material distributed by the SAP.
