Purpose:

This first planning phase aims to establish the foundations for a Family Information Liaison Unit in Quebec. The Unit will be fully coordinated by the Office for Victims of Crime, in collaboration with various partners, including Indigenous partners. This planning phase will allow the Office for Victims of Crime to create a functional Quebec Family Information Liaison Unit that will ensure accessibility of information and a culturally relevant and safe approach. Ultimately, this Unit will allow for a response to families' questions regarding missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
