The Manitoba Metis Federation Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage and host the Manitoba AJS Programs Regional Gathering. This gathering will be held in Winnipeg and will provide training sessions including Domestic Violence, Sexual Exploitation, Addictions, and Self-care.
Specifically, the training will focus on the areas that provide justice workers with skills and intervention strategies on how to assist clients when workers are not trained counsellors or therapists in the areas, but are helpers to assist with strategies to motivate change and enhance services within their respective communities.
