Purpose:

The organization will hire an outreach worker to increase their capacity to improve services and increase access to the criminal justice system for victims of abuse, threats of violence and/or sexual violence. Improved outreach services will include providing a safe haven for victims, safety planning, providing information on their legal rights, assistance with law enforcement, lawyers and the court system, medical emergencies, and culturally appropriate education initiatives. The organization will provide Stopping the Violence Counselling for their clients and will also provide four community presentations per year on violence prevention to community partners and members.
