Purpose:

The organization proposes to create a new Victim Service Disability Worker position to provide specialized services for victims with mental and physical disabilities who face obstacles when accessing the criminal justice system; identify and track the correlation between different physical and mental disabilities and the types of criminal incidents that harm individuals with such disabilities; and develop strategic partnership with organizations working with victims with mental and physical disabilities to assist in the understanding of victimization within this population.
