Purpose:
|
The project will deliver specialized training on the topic of training in child abuse forensic interviewing for child protection social workers and police officers to increase their knowledge and skills required to reliably and safely conduct sensitive investigative interviews of children and adolescents, to lessen the trauma of children being interviewed by highly skilled and trained interviewers and to have better outcomes in court by obtaining better forensic interviews. The project will also provide improvements to sites for recorded child-victim interviews enhancing the quality of recordings of child-victim statements and better court outcomes and improved storage for electronic files of victim interviews.
