Purpose:

The recipient agrees to open and continue to operate the Vancouver Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, which provides coordinated, multi-disciplinary, child centered and friendly approaches to services for children who have experienced abuse and their family members. Ongoing activities will include finalizing space development to ensure that the Centre is fully functional and developing and implementing strategic and operational plans, such as referral protocols and sustainability plans. Steps will be taken to build capacity for culturally responsive services for Indigenous children and youth through research, policy reviews, and consultations with elders and Indigenous partner organizations.
