Purpose:
|
The organization will continue to provide a community-based program with a coordinated approach to addressing the needs of children and youth implicated in the criminal justice system either as victims of or witnesses to physical and sexual abuse. The objective of the project is to minimize system-induced trauma and increase access to specialized services for children who are victims of sexual assault from the Laval and Montérégie regions. It will, among other activities, offer training and develop referral protocols to mobilize new partners and will support the development of multi-disciplinary responses in Innu communities through training, as well as support and monitoring to guide the implementation of therapeutic services for child victims at the community level.
