Purpose:

The project will allow for small teams of law students and a lawyer supervisor to travel to nine Francophone rural Alberta communities to provide workshops on legal themes. Following the presentations, the students will assist the pro-bono lawyer to provide private and confidential consultations. The free legal workshops will provide legal aid to Francophones suffering not only from being at a distance from services in French, but also from language barriers when no legal service is available in their community.
