Purpose:

The Criminal Justice Branch of the Ministry of Justice will establish soundproofed witness rooms appropriate for interviewing child and other vulnerable witnesses in eight locations in British Columbia. This enhancement will facilitate meetings and court preparation in cases involving sexual violence or intimate partner violence and will improve victims' experiences throughout the criminal justice process.
