Purpose:

The organization will hold a series of three leadership dialogue sessions for Haida, Heiltsuk and Indigenous women to identify and prioritize action-based solutions to enhance family and community well-being and safety. The dialogue sessions will reduce the vulnerability of Indigenous women by providing opportunities to strengthen leadership through skills-building, knowledge sharing, relationship-building with local Indigenous Matriarchs and female leaders and the creation of an Indigenous Women's Leadership Program based on the needs of the women participating in the dialogue sessions. This program will promote empowerment of Indigenous women and enable them to participate in the decision-making process to take action and create positive changes and strategic solutions in their community.
