Purpose:

In partnership with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice, STR8 UP 10,000 Little Steps to Healing Inc. will develop a community-based, integrated provincial gang strategy for Saskatchewan. The strategy will have a strong Indigenous component to it given the prevalence of indigenous gangs in the province. Funding is being provided to support the developmental phase of the strategy, including research and community engagement activities. STR 8 Up will organize and host a forum that will bring together over 50 stakeholders from different sectors including youth representatives, non-profit organizations, Indigenous communities, governments, police, health and social services, businesses and education authorities.
