Purpose:

An Indigenous health and safety Program Coordinator will provide culturally appropriate group and individualized support around issues such as navigating the justice system, advocacy, emergency shelter, detox & treatment, housing, leaving abusive relationships and income assistance for Indigenous women working in the sex trade who are victims of violence and exploitation. The Program Coordinator will also refer women to culturally safe community organizations and work closely with the Vancouver Police Department Sex Trade Liaison who will advise on matters related to safety and the law to ensure a sensitive and effective police response.
