Purpose:

The recipient will continue to provide a community-based program with a coordinated approach to addressing the needs of children and youth implicated in the criminal justice system either as victims of or witnesses to physical and sexual abuse. The organization will provide a single, child-friendly setting to encourage child and youth victims or witnesses and their families to seek services. It will also take steps to enhance culturally responsive services for Indigenous children and youth through the development of best practice guidelines, training, consultations with, and engagement of, elders to support both families and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
