Purpose:
|
The goals of the project are to increase participation of Indigenous victims of crime in their restorative justice program and to improve access to victim services for Indigenous victims of crime. To achieve this, the organization will; strengthen relationships between existing organizations to facilitate greater support for Indigenous victims; provide a cultural lens to victim services; create a sustainability plan to maintain these relationships long term; and to create a training manual and reference guide tool to support continued victim participation in restorative processes offered by the organization.
