The St'at'imc Restorative Justice Project hopes to develop a community-based justice program that incorporates traditional notions of justice concepts of the St'at'imc Nation to help address the current community's dilemma. The project will aid in the need to access disciplinary and healing process for the people, when an offense occurs. The program serves the three towns and local Aboriginal communities in the St'at'imc Nation (11 communities). The Cik'el'qam and Watchmen process will serve the referred clientele to help in the healing and disciplinary actions required to fit the individual needs, based on the existing community's resources including the Healing Centre, therapists, local educational institutes and Elders. The Restorative Justice Steering Committee and Elders Council will guide the Project through the Director, Coordinator and Watchmen to ensure the quality of all physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life are continuously present.
