Purpose:

The University will host a conference, February 14-16, 2007, in Montréal, Québec, to reflect on the origins, meaning and impact on Canadian society and politics, of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the patriation of the Constitution. The conference will connect academics, experts, practitioners and the public in a wide-ranging and diverse discussion.
