Purpose:

This justice program services the community members of Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Lax Kw’alaams, Metlakatla, Hartley Bay, and Kitkatla. The primary goal of the program is to provide holistic (when feasible and possible) services to those in conflict with the law, while maintaining high standards, and cultural appropriateness in delivering the services. Referrals are accepted at various entry point levels. Elders play a key role, as do house groups at the reserve level. The program accepts both adults and youth. In addition, the program has expanded to provide sentencing advisory services for the courts.
