Purpose:

This two day conference was held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on March 26th and 27th, 2008 and provided a forum for Saskatchewan and Alberta community Justice Directors/Coordinators, Workers and Elders from Aboriginal Justice Strategy funded community justice programs to share best practices. Some highlights discussed included: the Alexis Court; the Tsuu T'ina Peacemaker program; Saddle Lake First Nation - Family Group Conferencing; Prince Albert Métis Women - Youth Works program; the Yorkton Tribal Council - Peer Mediation; a Cree Court presentation.
