Purpose:

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Restorative Community Justice Program. Through its Restorative Community Justice Program, "Sken:nen A:Osonton" (to become peaceful again), the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake operates mediation, alternative/extrajudicial measures and community sentencing programs for youth and adults.
