The Prince Albert Urban Alternative Measures Program (PA-UAMP) provides diversion and mediation programming as an alternative to the formal court process for adult and young offenders in the City of Prince Albert, nearby communities and rural areas surrounding the city. The program uses formal cautioning, victim-offender mediation and family group conferencing for both pre-charge and post-charge cases referred to the program. The program is a coordinated project involving the Prince Albert Grand Council, Indian and Métis Friendship Centre, the Prince Albert Metis Women’s Association School Mediation Program, and the Salvation Army.
