Purpose:
|
The United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin (UCCM) has a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate the UCCM Justice Program. The UCCM Justice Program provides pre- and post-charge diversion and sentencing to youth and adult band members that are located on and off reserve in the Manitoulin District. The objective of the Program is to employ traditional law principles of accountability, healing, and making amends to develop a plan of action for offenders who have accepted responsibility for the offence.
