The Chippewas of Mnjikaning First Nation has a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate the Biidaaban Program. The Biidaaban Program delivers a community-based, holistic healing model and restorative justice program to Aboriginal youth and adults in the First Nation. The goal of the Program is to restore balance in the lives of those in the community who are affected by abuse. Offenders who have harmed must take responsibility for their behaviour and the harm they have caused, be accountable to the community and to people they have hurt, publicly apologize and make amends.
